The Warriors Community Foundation tackles social issues through impactful programmes and community initiatives. These vital efforts support mental health, anti-bullying, literacy, and other wellbeing skills, fostering success for our tamariki, rangatahi, and whānau.
A key sponsor, The Wright Family Foundation, supports their innovative League in Libraries - Rīki i ngā Whare Pukapuka programme. This initiative aims to reignite tamariki and rangatahi's passion for creative writing. The programme features a writing competition where students are invited to submit stories about their favourite Warriors for judging. The winning entries from primary and intermediate-aged students will have their work professionally illustrated and published.
We are also proud to support their empowering female-only school programme, Tupu Māia. This initiative focuses on the enjoyment of sport, wellbeing, and maintaining physical activity in a safe and supportive environment with peers. It is designed to build confidence, create positive engagement, increase participation, promote wellbeing, and, importantly, to be fun!
